20 New Tracks Just Added to the Disney Avenue Music Player

By Keith Mahne

Ahhh the soothing sounds of Disney Park music. What would a Disney Park be without music? What would the atmosphere be like without those magical music loops? I can't even bare the thought. Another thing I don't want to think about is Disney Avenue without the Disney Avenue Music Player. Have you seen our new music player that now works with mobile? You asked for it and we delivered. I'm also always looking for ways to fill our playlist with more magical tunes that will not only transport you to your favorite Disney spot, but also ease your soul and relax your mind. And so friends, I have 20 new additions to the music player that I think you are going to love. Prepare your ears for the magical sounds of the Disney Avenue Music Player...

UPDATE 4/26/2017: Due to technical glitches with the new music player mentioned in this article, we have returned to using our old music player located at the top of the website and that is only accessible from a desktop computer. We are currently working on a "Disney Avenue Music Player Mobile Page" that will feature all of our tracks and will be able to be accessed from a mobile device. You can see this new page now, although it is under construction, by clicking HERE or the "Disney Avenue Music Player" tab under our banner above.

Before I fill you in on all of our new tunes I'd like to start by telling you a little about our new music player, how we created it and our plans for the future. For years we have used a free website music player service called SCM Music Player that allowed you to plug in the link to whatever track you wanted typically from YouTube. Whenever I'd discover a new music loop or instrumental version of a popular Disney song I would quickly add it to our playlist. But, as many of you realize, YouTube loves their advertisements and, often times, one would blare before and after a track. Also, videos on YouTube get removed more often then you think and would lead to dead links. That's no fun! Another negative about the old SCM player was that it wasn't compatible with mobile phones. I want my music when I want it and, judging from the amount of emails asking why the player isn't working on mobile, you do too.

I began searching for a replacement that worked on mobile and found a website called Cincopa.com that allowed you to design your own music player, upload your tracks to their server and embed it on your website. I loved the results and it worked beautifully... for 2 days! When I realized how many people were using the music player and discovered how much Cincopa charges for bandwidth (I spent $125 bucks in 2 days) I soon realized it would cost me a small mortgage to maintain it. I then went to Upwork.com, created a project for a web developer to design what I had created with Cincopa and found a great programmer from the Ukraine. He was able to create the Disney Avenue Music Player you see now. Although there are some technical issues we are still ironing out, I believe it turned out magnificently well and, thank the Lord, works on mobile devices. Please keep in mind that the more feedback we receive from you about any technical issues you encounter, the better we can make it.

Now, let me fill you in on what I have planned for the future. The web developer I mention a second ago is now working on a brand new project for me. We are in the process of creating the Disney Avenue Music Player mobile app. This amazing app will have over 1500 tracks, feature different programming hours just like a internet radio station with programs such as "Disney Resort Hour" showcasing the music loops of your favorite Disney Resort Hotel, and have an On Demand feature for you to choose which tracks you want to hear when you want to hear them in case what we have playing at any given point in time is not to your liking. It will also update you on new Disney Avenue articles, have a forum to talk with other Disney fans and more. That is in the works as I write this and I hope to have more updates on that soon.

And now friends, the whole point of this article, it's time to share with you the 20 new tracks we just added to the Disney Avenue Music Player. First thing I should mention is the music player use to have sections of tracks such as "Disneyland's Rod Miller - Coke Corner Ragtime (1 of 2)" and "Disneyland's Rod Miller - Coke Corner Ragtime (2 of 2)". I combined these section tracks into one full track. I needed to fill in those old track numbers which is why some of the new songs I am about to tell you about will be out of order but wanted you to understand why that is. Also, in the past, I use to embed a YouTube video of the track for those on mobile to hear but that is no longer necessary. As I update you on the new tracks, I will tell you what track number you can hear these new tunes and all you have to do is go up to the top of the site and scroll through the music player's playlist and click the track. Get it? Got it? Good! Let's talk Disney music...

New Track #1: Splash Mountain Area Music

Our first new addition to the Disney Avenue Music Player is a real favorite of mine. It's the area music you hear as you stand in the queue for Splash Mountain. The "Splash Mountain Area Music" track is number 2 in the playlist. Go take a listen and see what you think!!

New Track #2: Disneyland - A Musical Celebration

Celebrate 60 years of Walt Disney's greatest dream with a trip through your favorite Disneyland attractions in this brand-new original mix created by YouTuber WML95. "Disneyland - A Musical Celebration" is track number 3. It's pretty amazing!!

New Track #3: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Area Music

The beloved 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction at WDW's Magic Kingdom lasted from 1971 through 1994. Though the attraction was a guest favorite and remained popular throughout its existence, it was expensive to maintain, as well as having a low hourly loading capacity for an attraction of its size and expense. It was closed on September 5, 1994, without advance notice, for what was outwardly termed a temporary maintenance period, but in 1996 the closure was officially made permanent. This "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Area Music" track was what guests heard as they waited in the queue to board. It now lives in the Disney Avenue Music Player as track number 6. Get ready for those old family vacation memories to start "flooding" back in.

New Track # 4: Epcot's Italy Pavilion Area Music

Here is the background music from the Italy Pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase. Is the Italy Pavilion a favorite of yours? Now you can transport there anytime you'd like by selecting track number 8.

New Track #5: Epcot's United Kingdom Pavilion Area Music

Pick track number 9 in the music player titled "Epcot's United Kingdom Pavilion Area Music". Now, close your eyes for a second and imagine walking around World Showcase. Picture yourself just passing Canada. You, my friend, are now in Epcot's United Kingdom Pavilion. The only thing that's missing is the smell of the finest fish and chips this side of the Pond. Come here mentally whenever the mood strikes by choosing track number 9.

New Track #6: Epcot's France Pavilion Area Music

France is a country that’s on just about everyone’s bucket list to visit so it’s no surprise that it’s included in World Showcase at Epcot. There’s amazing food in a romantic setting, guests have the chance to meet up to four Disney characters, see some great entertainment (if they know where to look) and hear some wonderful French music as they stroll around. That same music now lives in the Disney Avenue Music Player and is titled "Epcot's France Pavilion Area Music". Just click track number 10 and you're there!!

New Track #7: Epcot's Germany Pavilion Area Music

Here is one that is dear to my heart. Not because I have a strong German last name but because I poured hours into putting this music loop together. Up until this point, all other Germany Pavilion loops I've heard were of very poor quality, outdated and incomplete. This is one you have got to hear!! Pick track number 11 and do your ears a favor.

New Track # 8: Epcot's Wonders of Life Pavilion Area Music

The idea of a pavilion devoted to health and fitness dates back to the original concept of Epcot, but no corporate sponsor could be found prior to the park opening in 1982 to cover the costs of such a pavilion. Eventually MetLife stepped in as sponsor, and Wonders of Life opened officially on October 19, 1989, completing the Future World concept only seven years after the park first opened. Though Wonders of Life isn't the first attraction to be lost thanks to a sponsorship gone sour, its closure was particularly devastating for fans, as this pavilion housed several classic attractions that were neglected when the sponsorship first ended in 2001 and then fell into decay and disrepair while the pavilion operated seasonally until its closing date in 2007. Nowadays, instead of teaching, entertaining and thrilling guests by taking them inside the circulatory system or demonstrating how different parts of the body work together in concert with your brain as the conductor, the former Wonders of Life building simply exists to give guests space to experience up-charge wine tastings and buy merchandise related to Epcot's two annual events. Hardly an inspired trade-off. At least the music loop was preserved and you can hear it whenever you'd like by selecting track number 12 in the music player above.

New Track #9: Epcot's Fountain of Nations Soundtrack

Have you ever noticed the incredible dancing fountain at Epcot located just behind Spaceship Earth? It’s the Fountain of Nations and in addition to being a fantastic point of interest for guests, it has been an important part of Epcot's history since opening day in 1982. A special “International Ceremony of the Waters” took place at the Fountain of Nations on the Park’s opening day, in which cultural representatives traveled to Epcot from around the world. Each one brought with them a container of water from their nation and poured it into the fountain. Contributions from a total of 29 nations were featured in the ceremony.

Today, the fountain’s 200 pneumatic shooters create dancing water shows that delight guests both day and night and the soundtrack can be heard any time by selecting track number 16.

New Track #10: A Musical Ode to Disneyland

In 2005, a short film premiered at Disneyland's Opera House (temporarily taking the place of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln), starring Steve Martin and Donald Duck called Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years. The short film celebrated Disneyland and its history in a fun way, and had a nice musical score by John Debney. The score was heavily guarded for 10 years, until recently it was discovered. Now, we're proud to give you track number 17 which has over 10 minutes of never-before-heard score from this entertaining short film uploaded by YouTuber WML95.

New Track #11: The Great Movie Ride Exterior Area Music

Consisting of instrumental arrangements from your favorite movie soundtracks by popular composers like John Williams, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Richard Rodgers and the Oscar Hammerstein II, and others, this music loop, found in the exterior area of The Great Movie Ride, is sure to delight any movie buff. Simply click on track number 24 and your transported to the outside of this classic Disney Hollywood Studios original attraction.

New Track #12: Star Tours Queue Music Loop

This is the full Star Tours queue music loop that pretty much can only really be heard in the queue overflow room. Prior to Star Tours' renovation a few years ago, the queue overflow room was hardly ever used. After its reopening in 2011, the overflow room is used nearly every day. Now you can get a good listen to this amazing music loop in the privacy of your own home by selecting track number 31 in the player.

New Track #13: Be Our Guest Restaurant Interior Area Music

Having the chance to step inside the Beast’s enchanted castle for a delicious quick-service breakfast or lunch—or an unforgettable sit-down dinner is turning into a MUST DO on family vacations for many resort guests and has become very hard to get a reservation if you don't book it way in advance. If you enjoy eating at Be Our Guest, you should really enjoy the music loop that plays while you eat. Choose track number 236 and return to Beast's castle daily.

New Track #14: Liberty Tree Tavern Music Loop

Who wouldn't like the opportunity to pay tribute to our founding fathers just by dining at this stately colonial-style inn that serves traditional New England-inspired fare? I know I sure love the place. I also really enjoy the music loop that plays and I think you might, too. Check out track number 237 and see what you think.

New Track #15: Shanghai Disneyland Mickey Avenue Area Music

The first steps into Shanghai Disneyland leads to the whimsical and lively neighborhood of Mickey Avenue. For the first time in a Disney Park, the main entry will be the hometown of Mickey Mouse and his pals. Stepping into this cheerful land sets the tone for a visit to Shanghai Disneyland, where guests leave their worlds behind and enter lands of adventure, fantasy and the future. The first entrance of its kind for Disney, Mickey Avenue is filled with charming shops and storefronts that help introduce Mickey Mouse and his friends to guests visiting from across China and around the world. Here is the area music heard on Mickey Avenue and you can take a listen by selecting track number 238 in the player.

New Track #16: Shanghai Disneyland Enchanted Storybook Castle Area Music

With welcoming, majestic towers that soar to the skies, the fantastical palace brings legendary Disney storytelling to life. And, just like the music that plays around Cinderella Castle and Sleeping Beauty Castle, Shanghai Disneyland's Enchanted Storybook Castle area music is a real delight on the ears. Take a listen for yourself by selecting track number 239.

New Track #17: Shanghai Disneyland Treasure Cove Area Music

Come sail into port at Treasure Cove, the first pirate-themed land ever at a Disney Park. Created especially for Shanghai Disneyland, this land immerses guests in a pirate’s life as soon as they arrive. The land features a mix of architectural styles, along with two giant ships, pirate-themed restaurants and a fun water play area. The music loop is one of my new favorites and I think you might feel the same as well. Check out our "Shanghai Disneyland Treasure Cove Area Music" by selecting track number 240 as soon as possible!!

New Track #18: The Music of Shanghai Disneyland (Complete Album)

New Track #19: There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (Instrumental)

From the album Walt Disney and the 1964 World's Fair comes this track titled "There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" that features 8 different instrumental version of this classic song! I absolutely love listening to this track and you will, too. Listen whenever you'd like by choosing track number 242 in the player.

New Track #20: World of Disney Area Music

I know that one of my favorite things to do on trips to WDW before I moved here was to go to Downtown Disney (Disney Springs today) on the day we arrived and just splurge on Disney merchandise. I looked forward to this just as much as going to the Magic Kingdom. I love the World of Disney store and its music loop as well. Take a listen and see how you like it by choosing track number 243 in the player.

That about does it for this Disney Avenue Music Player update. We will continue to keep you informed as new tracks are added and look forward to unveiling our new mobile app in the next few months. If you have a music loop you'd like to share and help us add to our selection, feel free to drop us a line by clicking the "Contact Us" tab. I hope you enjoy the music player as much as I do. I personally use it daily...if I'm at my computer, I have my headphones on and the Disney Avenue Music Player running. It's a great way to relax and listen to some magical ambient music as well.

  1. My Disney Avenue Music player, which used to run on the top of my browser, no longer shows up starting a few weeks ago, so I cannot enjoy this amazing music any longer. I have tried reinstalling IE to no avail. Not sure what happened or how to correct. Just letting you know.

    1. Greg, thanks for your feedback. Our new music player that works on mobile devices is located right under our banner. Give it a few seconds to load up and appear and you should be able to access it. Give it a try and let me know. I use Firefox and never have issues with the new player if you'd like to try that route as well. But it should work fine on IE. I'm anxious to hear if you see it now?

  2. I think that he may mean it doesn't come up on the web page on a desktop, not on the mobile device. I am having the same problem. I can now hear it on my phone but when I open it on my desktop, there is no option to play it and it doesn't play automatically like it used to. Wonder what has happened with that?

    1. It shows up on our end. It's right under our banner and takes a few seconds to load. The only browser we are having issues with it playing is Safari only on desktop. It appears but won't play. What browser are you using?

  3. I love to listen to it on my desktop so that my students can hear it. I teach first grade. Also, I don't have wifi at work so I can't listen to it for long on my phone. I wonder if anyone else is having trouble with it not playing on the desktop version now. It used to work fine.

    1. What browser are you using? Try Firefox. The only one where it's not playing on desktop is Safari and we are trying to fix that.

  4. Friendly greetings and thanks so much for this update, Keith! I appreciate the compiling you've done and look forward to more!

Here's one notable omission of a catchy tune I haven't seen covered anywhere else: do you know where I can find the music for Heimlich's Chew Chew Train? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNwpMobqnUA

It's like a bouncy instrumental rendition of "Time of Your Life" from A Bug's Life, but special to this ride.

    I can't find a clean version anywhere. :(

    1. That's a good suggestion. I'll have to look into that.

  5. I'm having the same issue as someone else who commented - the player does not appear at all in IE 11. I can see it in Google Chrome, but it does not play anything. It shows the title of the piece but the duration shows as 00:00.

    1. Thanks for letting me know. I suggest using Firefox until we can get this resolved. It's strange because it works great for me on Chrome. Just won't play on Safari, and now I guess IE. I'll update me developer ASAP.

  6. I have tried it in Explorer and Chrome with no luck. I will try FireFox if we are allowed to load it to our computers. Thank you! Love this!

  7. For those that may have issues with our new music player showing up when using IE or Chrome, I have added our old music player back to the site so that you can listen either on desktop or mobile until we get the bugs worked out. Thanks for all the feedback.

  8. Yay! Thanks so much! I am currently enjoying it.

  9. Did something happen to the old player? It was working yesterday and now it appears to be missing. The new one is still there but also still not working. This is really an exceptional service you provide with the music. I'm sure I speak for many when I say thanks for going to the trouble of making it available.

    1. I put the old player back along with the new however having both was causing the old one to play in the background without being able to stop it. The new player works great with Firefox, Edge, Safari mobile and Chrome in most cases. I highly recommend using Firefox if you are able.
