56 Vintage Walt Disney World and Disneyland View-Master Photos You Have Got To See

By Keith Mahne

An old pastime among Disney Park fans that would often occur between trips was to flip through View-Master reels of Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Looking at these reels of the Disney Parks and Resorts was sure to fill one with an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. What made looking at Walt Disney World and Disneyland View-Master reels particularly special was how the device would take advantage of a human’s stereoscopic vision by presenting a slightly different image to each eye. The brain then combines both together to create a three-dimensional image with a sense of depth. This created the perfect way to escape back to the Parks between family vacations and that's just what we'll do in today's new article with these 56 vintage Walt Disney World and Disneyland View-Master photos that you have got to see...

When was the last time you held a View-Master? I can still remember being a child in my room and holding up my View-Master filled with a reel of Walt Disney World scenes. I truly felt like I was being transported back to a particular moment in time as only a View-Master could do. This fond memory not only led me to search eBay for an old View-Master and collection of vintage Walt Disney World reels to relive that moment in my childhood, but it also led to today's article. Some of you may remember these reels from your own childhood and I hope they bring you as much warm nostalgic memories as they have brought me. Enjoy friends...

  1. Great find!

Those interior Mansion shots look identical to the VM slides I had of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. I bet they shared images - but which Mansion is it really?
